About the Program

The Master's program in Education Science enables graduates to plan and design education, training and assistance processes for specific target groups and age groups, as well as to analyze them in the context of socialization processes and social structures. The program builds on bachelor's degrees in Education Science or Social Work. Through its research orientation, it qualifies students to plan, design and reconstruct education and training processes in the context of socialization processes. A special focus is on processes of professionalization, organization and mediatization of pedagogical fields of action. As a single-subject master's program, it offers three different educational science specializations: 'Social Pedagogy of Childhood and Youth', 'Early Intervention', and 'Adult and Vocational Education'.
