About the Program

The subject English can be chosen in most Master of Education degree programmes and follows on from a corresponding Bachelor's degree. Completion of the degree programme entitles students throughout Germany to a traineeship (Referendariat) in the corresponding type of school or school level. A particular focus of the Master of Education degree programme in English in Bremen is the explicit combination of subject-specific didactic and academic content and skills within the framework of a special range of modules. The programme is generally taught in English; parts of the subject-specific didactics can be taught in German. In the different variants subject-specific, practical language and didactic content and skills from the Bachelor's degree programme are taken up and deepened and applied and reflected upon as part of a practical semester (usually at a school in Bremen).
