About the Program

In a globally oriented working world, it is becoming increasingly important to have a good command of the English language. The Bachelor's degree course in English and American Studies focuses not only on the confident use of the language, but also on the culture, literature and history of Great Britain and/or America. The study encompasses regional and cultural studies as well as linguistics and literary studies. Language practice is important, which is why courses are generally held in English, requiring very good language skills. A semester abroad in an English-speaking country is compulsory. The course is also combined with a minor subject.
