About the Program

The practically relevant and mathematical-physical focus of the master's program in Engineering Science prepares you for a career in research and development in companies and other organizations. The curriculum equips you with the knowledge and skills to develop mathematical-physical models for technical systems and to examine these systems using appropriate experimental, analytical, and numerical methods. You will also learn to recognize the similarity of the mathematical approach to various engineering issues, allowing you to develop targeted solutions. The wide range of elective modules allows you to individually determine your area of specialization. You can further select two areas from numerics and simulation, fluid mechanics, mechatronics, solid state mechanics, thermodynamics, and technical acoustics to consolidate your technical knowledge.
