The Bachelor's degree programme in Engineering Pedagogy, with its specialisation in construction technology, is an engineering degree programme that also prepares students for further training as a teacher at vocational schools. The focus is on wood as a sustainable material and its use in wood construction and interior engineering. The program consists of 210 credit points distributed as follows: 106 CP for engineering subjects, 10 CP for the Bachelor thesis (engineering-focused), 30 CP for a practical semester (engineering-focused), 28 CP for social sciences/pedagogy, and 36 CP for teaching subjects. Students can choose between teaching subjects (second subjects) including Wood Technology (unique feature), Computer Science, or German Language and Communication. After completing the Engineering Pedagogy degree programme, students can go on to study the Master's degree programme in Vocational Education (e.g. at the Technical University of Munich) and then enter work as a trainee teacher with the prospect of a career as a senior civil servant.
