Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

In the Energy Engineering and Process Engineering master's degree program, students can specialize in energy engineering, process engineering, or a combination of the two. This study program builds on the foundation laid by the bachelor's degree and focuses on furthering knowledge and skills in thermodynamics, process and plant dynamics, ground operations, and computer-supported methods. Students learn integrative planning approaches to the technical design, modeling, and optimization of apparatuses and facilities as well as experimental and numerical methods for scientific tasks. In the compulsory elective component, students study a specialization to acquire further skills and knowledge, for instance about material properties, probability analyses of energy and process engineering components and plants, or environmental effects on the operation of technical plants. The program includes a compulsory internship of at least six weeks.
