Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

The world, and with it Lusatia, is in a transition towards climate-neutral technologies. This particularly affects energy technology and energy economics. In the coming decades, young people will be sought in Lusatia to accompany the energy transition and the resulting structural change. Students from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in the Energy Technology and Energy Economics program are urgently needed at the major new research institutes and centers around BTU (Fraunhofer IEG, DLR) as well as in young companies that may form from these centers. Studying at BTU in the Energy Technology and Energy Economics program creates the professional qualification to support these institutions and thus the structural change in Lusatia and beyond. The program offers three study directions that build on common foundations in mathematics, computer science, energy technology, and energy economics: Energy Economics, Electrical Energy Technology, and Thermal Energy Technology. A change between these study directions is possible until the beginning of the third semester.
