About the Program

The Master's program in Education Science offers students the opportunity to engage deeply with the content of their chosen specialization. The program includes three focus areas: 1) Digital Education and Further Education, which addresses the digital transformation of education and combines perspectives from adult education and media pedagogy; 2) Social Pedagogy/Social Work, which qualifies students for a broad spectrum of social pedagogical fields; and 3) Pedagogy of Childhood and Youth, which focuses on education and socialization processes in childhood and youth. The program is research-oriented and aims to strengthen students' reflective competence by engaging with research approaches and methods. It also serves as preparation for possible doctoral studies. The program requires 120 ECTS credits and will be offered starting from Winter Semester 2025/2026.
