About the Program

The Master's degree programme Ecological Agriculture and Food Systems connects organic farming with the societal sectors relevant to food supply. It enables students to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to analyse and evaluate complex value chains and production processes in order to transform the agriculture and food sectors towards greater ecological, social and economic sustainability. The programme focuses on designing sustainability transformation in the agriculture and food sector, analysis and evaluation of complex value creation contexts in the organic agriculture and food sector, and designing participatory and transdisciplinary development and research processes. Students complete the programme after four semesters, including a practical phase, earning a total of 120 ECTS credits.
