Culture and Business/Hispanic Studies

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

This degree course offers a comprehensive insight into the interactions between culture and business. Cultural studies and practical language content do not run alongside the teaching of economic contexts; instead, the focus is on economic topics in an examination of the language, culture and history of Hispanophone countries - and vice versa. The course combines Spanish language, literature, culture and regional studies with an in-depth study of economics. Students learn to analyze current challenges in international cultural and trade relations in a solution-oriented manner and become capable of acting in various international contexts. The course is characterized by its high practical component. A stay abroad is an integral part of the curriculum - either as a semester of study or as an internship of at least eight weeks in a Hispanophone country.
