About the Program

Creative Engineering is an interdisciplinary Bachelor program offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Design. It combines engineering and design in the interplay between people, environment and technology and enables students to design entire technical systems and implement them as prototypes. Depending on the chosen specialization, students can obtain either a Bachelor of Engineering or a Bachelor of Arts. The study program has a holistic approach which goes beyond the human-product relationship and places technology within the diverse interactions of our environment. Methods of design and engineering education are linked to enable a high degree of technical knowledge, experiment experience and design competence through suitable teaching forms. Project-oriented modules taught jointly by engineers and designers, in which prototypes and possible application scenarios are developed in relation to a framework topic, are at the core of the curriculum.
