About the Program

This is a double degree programme offered jointly by the University of Twente and the University of Münster in Germany. In this two-year programme, students gain a deeper understanding of the political context of international public governance and combine this with a comparative approach, comparing the contexts of different Nation-States and understanding the challenges that lie within these differences. Upon completion, students receive two Master's degrees: Master of Science in European Studies (University of Twente) and Master of Arts in Comparative Public Governance (University of Münster). The programme structure includes spending the first semester at the University of Twente with courses like Introduction to CPG, International Relations and Politics, and Policy Design and Implementation beyond the Nation-State. The second semester is spent at the University of Münster studying Current and Future Challenges of Comparative Public Governance and perspectives on Political Steering and Participation. The third semester offers options for internship, free electives, or exchange programs. The final semester is dedicated to academic research and writing a master's thesis under joint supervision from both universities.
