About the Program

The interdisciplinary Master's program in Comparative Literature offers comprehensive training in literary studies. Beyond national and media boundaries, it opens up new perspectives on literary works. The focus of the study is literature as a global cultural phenomenon in connection with various art and media forms. The program addresses questions such as how digitization changes our understanding of literature and its relationship to other arts, how representation methods of other media (e.g., film adaptations) influence literature, and how processes of canonization of cultural products work. In the Master's program, students refine their skills in independent analysis and well-founded interpretation of literary texts, engage with related humanities or cultural studies subjects, and view literature across media and in an international context, gaining a deep understanding of cultural connections.
