About the Program

The Master's program in Commercial Vehicle Technology (CVT) is the first interdisciplinary Master's program worldwide that is fully accredited by ASIIN. The program offers a bilingual, interdisciplinary approach and close collaboration with industry. The education and research on CVT topics such as hybridization & electrification, driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, big data & artificial intelligence, simulation & digital twins, and human-machine interaction integrates all important areas of the product lifecycle of commercial vehicles, such as vehicle design and dynamics, materials science, joining technology, and production technology. At the same time, a number of sociological aspects and soft skills are also taken into account. The Master's program in Commercial Vehicle Technology is an interdisciplinary Master's program offered by the following faculties: Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Department of Computer Science, Department of Social Sciences, and Department of Economics. The program is designed for three main target groups: highly qualified German graduates, highly qualified international graduates, and high-potential employees from the commercial vehicle industry as a further education opportunity.
