Cognitive Computing

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

Studying "Cognitive Computing" enables you to contribute to key future technologies: the degree program bridges the gap between the disciplines of computer science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The course focuses on the modeling of cognitive human abilities and their implementation in technology and achieves this by closely interlinking the disciplines of artificial intelligence, neuroinformatics, machine learning, computational linguistics and (computer-oriented) neuroscience. By training at this unique interface of relevant disciplines, the part-time Master's in Cognitive Computing enables graduates to apply their acquired skills to the development of innovative intelligent systems and services. The program includes a two-semester study project where students gain experience in designing and implementing a research project, usually in collaboration with a company. The Institute of Cognitive Science at Osnabrück University offers an excellent research environment where students explore the intersection of philosophy, AI, psychology, and neuroscience in this dynamic program.
