About the Program

The protection of people and the environment is central to the work of climate and environmental engineers. From occupational safety to quality and environmental management, their tasks are wide-ranging. The primary goal is to minimize negative impacts on the environment. To this end, your role as an environmental engineer is to develop and monitor measures and technical procedures. The program offers a broad study covering climate change, protection, and adaptation to wastewater and drinking water treatment, waste management, safety-related analyses, air pollution control and noise abatement. Students learn in lecture halls, laboratories, in the field, and at large-scale technical facilities. Additional professional qualifications can be acquired during studies, including Water protection officer, Occupational Safety Specialist, and Sampler according to the Drinking Water Ordinance.
