About the Program

After the broadly designed education in the Bachelor's degree program, which focuses on the essential fields of civil engineering, these teaching contents are supplemented and deepened at a high level in the Master's degree program. In parallel, a wide range of compulsory and elective subjects conveys special knowledge and methods in four selectable study focuses. The Master's program promotes creative independent and interdisciplinary work. Students learn methods of scientific problem solving and acquire the ability to develop, plan, organize and implement complex technical projects holistically, also with regard to ecological, social, economic and legal aspects, in order to fulfill their responsibility for people and the environment. The program offers four specialization areas: Geotechnics, Road and Water Engineering; Structural Engineering; Construction Management and Operations; Building Construction/Building Renovation.
