About the Program

The master's degree programme combines all aspects of the traditional roles of civil engineers in an interesting, varied course portfolio. Students gain extensive knowledge in aspects such as the analysis of structures, construction management and the application of numerical simulation methods. In the process, students make use of cutting-edge scientific methods, highly practice-based teaching and interdisciplinary cooperation with other fields of science and engineering. Four specialisations – Structural Engineering, Water and Coastal Engineering, Construction Management, and Wind Energy Engineering – enable students to specialise in their chosen area with a view to pursuing a career in industry, research or the public sector. Since the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science has extensive experience in these future-oriented subject areas, it offers the perfect study environment and provides a direct reference to current research projects.
