About the Program

The program is based on teaching students skills in reading, writing, listening and understanding Chinese. At the same time, students acquire fundamental subject knowledge of historical and contemporary China and receive training in teaching Chinese. A stay abroad in a Chinese-speaking country is recommended for students to further enhance their language skills. The carefully chosen course content and the possibility of spending time abroad qualifies students to work as Chinese teachers after graduation. Chinese can be studied as an additional subject as part of a teaching degree program and prepares students to teach Chinese at secondary schools (Gymnasium) in Bavaria.
