About the Program

The master's programme in chemistry prepares students to shape innovations in their professional life through the application of chemical knowledge and scientific methods, and using the results for the good of society. The programme is oriented towards research. Students acquire the methodological and analytical skills needed for developing suitable solutions for complex problems. All modules are optional compulsory modules. By selection of the modules, students can either continue a broad preparation in chemistry on an advanced level or set a topical focus on molecular chemistry or on the chemistry at interfaces (catalysis, electrochemistry, photochemistry). The programme comprises modules with lectures, classroom exercises, excursions, research laboratory courses including an optional semester abroad with a total workload of 90 ECTS credits, and a Master thesis (30 ECTS credits).
