In order to achieve ambitious climate and sustainability goals, the transformation of the chemical sector as a key industry is essential. Students of the Master's degree program in Chemical Biotechnology learn how to harness biogenic raw materials for innovative value-creation systems. The program focuses on the in-depth study of the theories, methods, and applications of micro- and molecular biology, chemistry, and process engineering. Students learn to use natural tools such as optimized enzymes, cells, or microorganisms to develop and produce organic basic and fine chemicals as well as products based on them, and to make them usable in the industry.
