About the Program

Students will learn the systematics, terminology, and advanced topics in various sub disciplines of chemistry and biology. They will also acquire the theoretical and practical skills required for conducting advanced work in these fields. A number of areas of specialisation are offered corresponding to the unique profile of the Faculty of Chemical and Earth Sciences and the School of Biology and Pharmacy. The programme of study is very interdisciplinary in nature and has a strong experimental focus. Students may select from a wide range of special topics courses. Graduates are qualified to pursue a high-level career in the areas of chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and related medical fields. They may also choose to earn a Ph.D. in one of these fields in Germany or abroad.
