About the Program

Business Education (Wirtschaftspädagogik) focuses on teaching and learning economic content in schools, companies, and public institutions. This integrated bachelor's program provides dual qualification: it opens access to a teaching-related master's program (M.Ed.) and forms the nationally recognized prerequisite for activities in companies, ministries, consulting firms, etc. Students learn how to plan and conduct lessons, effectively support learners, and organize training and further education offerings. The program consists of three areas: Economics, Business Education, and an additional freely selectable subject. In Economics, students learn fundamentals of business administration and economics. The Business Education components include basics of vocational education and lesson design, as well as psychological foundations related to learning. Students can choose from a variety of specialization subjects including Management and Economics, Computer Science, German, English, Spanish, French, Mathematics, Sports, Religious Education, Social Studies, and Law.
