About the Program

The Business Analytics and Operations Research specialisation in our Master's programme in Business Administration offers a career-oriented education in the design, application and integration of digitalisation, data science and optimisation in management and economics in a theory-founded yet applied fashion. Our degree programme provides comprehensive methodological foundations on which further subject-related knowledge in the most important business functions like marketing, logistics or finance is successively built. The Master's programme offers great flexibility in the selection of courses, the semester abroad and the choice of internships. This gives students the opportunity to tailor their studies to their individual needs. Nowadays, being able to solve numerous business management problems not only requires identifying the cause of the problem and developing a proposal for a solution but also increasingly the implementation in an existing or new business management application system. Therefore, students can select modules from either of the two tracks, "Business Analytics” and “Operations Research”. Besides the methodological foundation, we offer four subject areas that approach specific business management areas and problems. Students can focus on a single or on several areas of business administration Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Operations Finance Digitalisation and Information Systems Marketing Graduates are well-equipped for careers in data-driven business environments, including roles in analytics, operations research, consulting, and management. The programme also provides a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing academic research or doctoral studies. Moreover, students will be equipped with the necessary skills to communicate and present the learned content through specific modules with a focus on business language, communication and teamwork. Students can choose from a rich variety of further elective courses from multiple disciplines in business and economics to round out their education. The Master's thesis component further cements their strong methodological and practical knowledge gained in the programme. The thesis can be written with any of the professors teaching in this programme and/or in cooperation with a company.
