About the Program

How are biopharmaceutical agents manufactured, purified, analyzed, prepared, and packaged so that they can be absorbed by the human body and act at the right place? How can modern diagnostic methods be used to detect diseases faster, more efficiently, and more cost-effectively? How can membranes be used to produce the smallest particles for nanotechnology? These are the questions driving biopharmaceutical technology. The main focus of the programme, in addition to the fundamentals of natural sciences and engineering, is on bioprocess engineering, pharmaceutical technology, bioanalytics, and micro- and molecular biology. Students gain an overview of modern methods and learn to select and apply them effectively. The programme includes practical work placement and access to laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.
