About the Program

What do the production of vaccines, yogurt cultures and wastewater treatment have in common? They probably wouldn't exist without engineers from bio and food technology and process engineering! During your studies you will work on topics such as these in our labs: You'll make beer from water from the Baltic Sea, produce healthy foods, produce energy from organic waste and count fluorescent algae under a microscope – in short: You'll help to shape a sustainable future. In the first two semesters, you will build a solid basis with first experiments in labs, knowledge of important industry sectors, and acquire knowledge in maths, engineering and natural sciences. From the third semester, you'll pursue one of three majors: Technology and Analytics, Process Engineering, or Business Administration. In the seventh semester, you'll complete an internship in industry and write your bachelor's thesis.
