Students also acquire the ability to develop scientific results and communicate them appropriately in English. The aim of the Master's program in Biomedicine is to provide specialized knowledge in biology (specialization in protein biochemistry and bioinformatics) and to acquire theoretical and practical competencies in medicine/pathophysiology, biomedical research, and various areas of theoretical medicine. The program places special emphasis on immunology and neurobiology as well as neuroimmunological issues. In addition, students are taught soft skills such as handling laboratory animals, creating scientific illustrations, and handling radioactivity in a radiation protection course. This Master's program trains biologists with an improved understanding of medical problems, enabling them to work more competently in biomedical research institutions from the outset.
