Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

Life is complex. The bachelor's degree course in Biomedical Sciences is designed to provide an understanding of complex biological processes in humans and animals from molecules to whole organisms. Teaching of biochemistry and molecular biology as well as cell biology, physiology, neuroscience and immunology provide the basis for this. Specializations in neuroscience, immunology, neuroimmunology, molecular biology and quantitative biology are offered. The Biomedical Sciences course aims to teach students the skills required to research and describe the structures, functions and dynamics of these complex biological systems. The knowledge and skills acquired create the basis for understanding and further developing translational approaches in research and medical applications. This course develops skills that make it possible to abstract and formulate complex problems in a developing research field in order to find new ways of understanding complex biological processes in humans and animals.
