About the Program

The interdisciplinary bachelor's programme in Bioelectronics Engineering combines life sciences and engineering in a unique symbiosis. With an innovative curriculum and the support of leading research institutions, the programme provides the foundation for mastering complex challenges in forward-looking fields ranging from healthcare, environmental analysis, and agricultural technology to consumer electronics. The program builds a bridge between engineering and life sciences, combining knowledge from areas such as micro- and nano-biosensors, biology and electrical engineering. In six semesters, students acquire in-depth knowledge in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and engineering with many practice-oriented courses including laboratories and experiments. Special BEE modules explicitly address topics at the interface between biology and electrical engineering. Students can sharpen their individual profile through an elective area with two pillars to choose from: Life Sciences and Engineering.
