About the Program

The Master's program in Human Movement and Sports Science conveys the current state of knowledge in the field and trains students in relevant scientific methods. Through project-based work, students gain the ability to independently work with scientific methods, theoretical knowledge, and empirical findings, and to critically evaluate and further develop the foundations of the discipline. They learn to address various problems from a movement science perspective, considering both natural science and social/cultural science perspectives, and to communicate research results within and outside academia. The Master's program enables specialization in the thematic focus area of 'Performance and Health': Focus on sports medicine, biomechanical, motor sports, and training science topics, questions and problems of prevention, rehabilitation, and performance development through movement and sport, or directly in various areas of recreational, health, and competitive sports.
