About the Program

This Master's programme enables students to solve beverage technology problems in industrial practice. Beverage technologists provide impulses in the development of new plants and machines, are in charge of planning production plants and investments. The program is offered in cooperation with Geisenheim University. Students spend one semester each at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) and Hochschule Geisenheim University (HS Geisenheim), where they acquire the necessary course-specific basic knowledge in the core modules. Building on this, they can design their studies individually and flexibly according to their goals and wishes through the freely selectable profile modules at both locations. The degree programme is composed of 20 modules: 8 core (compulsory) modules, 8 profile (elective) modules, and a written Master's thesis (equivalent to 4 modules).
