About the Program

The Master's study program Automotive Engineering is primarily intended for bachelor's graduates in automotive and engine engineering, mechanical engineering, and energy engineering. In addition to providing an extended basic technical and scientific qualification, this study program offers a broad range of courses with a strong research orientation in a high-tech environment. The first semester focuses on balancing the skills set of the students, ensuring they are all equipped with the same basic knowledge. During the first two semesters, students are able to elect two specialized subjects. In the third semester, the industrial internship and the student research project serve to further deepen the students' knowledge through independent study. The fourth semester is devoted to the master's thesis, which is usually written in one of the two specializations.
