About the Program

The Audio and Video bachelor's program is aimed at anyone who would like to combine a degree in technology and engineering with high-level artistic studies but does not want to commit to a predefined job description. The emphasis of the eight-semester study program is on the free and professional combination of competencies wherever audio and video formats require both technical and creative decisions. The program is carried out in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf (HSD). A broad spectrum of subjects are combined: Classical Music Recording is combined with Media Composition, musicology with physics, and communications technology with multi-camera production. Various major concentrations deepen basic knowledge. In the last phase of the degree program, the strands flow together and independent projects are carried out. This program is a further development of the renowned Düsseldorf Sound Engineer program of studies.
