About the Program

The Art, Music, Media: Organisation and Practice bachelor's program is offered together and in equal parts by the departments of Art History, Media Studies and Music Studies. The objective is to impart basic historical and theoretical knowledge and analytical methods of the subjects involved and to impart knowledge of transfer processes and forms of presentation of the arts in medial interconnection. For the first time in Germany, the program combines the three disciplines of Art History, Music Studies and Media Studies into one program. Its profile is interdisciplinary and the involved subjects are interconnected with respect to content. The program prepares students for professional work in public cultural administration, printed and audio-visual media, musical theater, concerts, and PR work. It also forms the foundation for continuing academic studies (Master's in Art History, Music Studies or Media Studies, Doctorate).
