About the Program

In the Master's program in Architecture, the basic knowledge from the Bachelor's program is qualified and deepened. Students have the opportunity to acquire a broadly based Master's in Architecture or to deepen their knowledge with a specialization (Master's specialization). In projects, students in the Master's program in Architecture work together with students from the Master's programs in Urban and Regional Planning and Civil Engineering in large studios, thus learning to practice teamwork while studying. Through cooperations with internationally recognized universities, the program promotes global networking and supports students in planning a Master's semester abroad. With the completion of the Master's in Architecture, graduates are able to develop ideas both by hand and on the computer and to independently implement designs in structural-spatial form. They are trained to accompany complex construction projects and to coordinate the various disciplines in construction. The Master's degree in Architecture is a prerequisite for independent and self-employed work as an architect and subsequent entry into the chambers of architects of the member states of the European Union. The 'Master of Science' degree in Architecture in Cottbus enables admission to doctoral studies.
