About the Program

The dual study program in Applied Therapy Sciences with a focus on Physiotherapy combines scientific theory with practical training, enabling a direct transfer of knowledge into professional practice. In addition to physiotherapeutic content, students acquire fundamental management skills that optimally prepare them for the diverse requirements of this professional field. As the only vocational academy in Germany, iba offers the opportunity to combine a dual bachelor's degree in Applied Therapy Sciences with a focus on Physiotherapy with parallel training as a state-certified physiotherapist at the F+U Vocational School for Physiotherapy - all on one campus. Practice is integrated into the studies from the beginning. In the practical components, students work in hospitals or other medical facilities, accompanied by experienced instructors. This model ensures close integration of theory and practice and provides valuable insights into professional processes. After graduation, students are not only qualified professionals with work experience but also have opportunities in new areas such as teaching or research.
