About the Program

The Joint European Master Programme in Advanced Materials Science and Engineering (AMASE) is an international Master's degree programme coordinated by Saarland University and run by a consortium of European universities in Saarbrücken, Nancy, Luleå, Barcelona, Leoben and Padua. Students study at two different universities within the consortium, spending the first two semesters at one university and the third semester at another. The Master's thesis is completed in the final semester at either of the two chosen institutions. Graduates receive a double Master's degree from both universities. The programme offers a broad range of specialist subjects in materials science and engineering, along with opportunities to develop foreign language skills and intercultural competence. The programme includes an Integration Week in Saarbrücken and a Professional Summer School in the second year to prepare students for the job market.
