When are application results announced when applying with a VPD?

There is no fixed date: uni-assist usually issues the VPD itself within 4–6 weeks, but the admission decision comes from the university, which also decides when to announce it. A VPD is not an admission.

#Two separate stages

1. uni-assist evaluation: uni-assist checks your certificates, converts your grade to the German scale and delivers the VPD to "My Inbox" in My assist. This usually takes 4–6 weeks; uni-assist publishes current processing times on its website.
2. University application: once you have the VPD, you must apply directly to the university before its deadline and submit the VPD there. The admission or rejection comes from the university at this stage.

#Where to follow your result

• Track the VPD status in My assist, and the admission decision in the university's application portal or correspondence.
• Each university sets its own decision timeline and way of notifying applicants; there is no period that applies everywhere. Check the programme's application page or ask the admissions office.

#Keep in mind

• A VPD is issued only for the university you chose and is valid for one year from the date of issue.
• The VPD does not replace the application — without a separate application to the university, there is no admission decision.
