How long does a national visa application take through IDATA Izmir?
Current status (checked 14.10.2026): In Türkiye, study and study-place-search visa applications are handled only through the Consular Services Portal (Auslandsportal): digital.diplo.de/studium (source). The official page does not say since when this rule applies; 14.10.2026 is only the date we checked it. The iDATA appointment steps below do not apply to these two visa types. For other national visas the missions work with iDATA and IOM-FAP (source).
The national visa (D visa) application process through IDATA Izmir typically takes 6-10 weeks for an appointment + 4-10 weeks for consulate processing = a total of 10-20 weeks.
