The Hochschule für Politik München (HfP) – Munich School of Politics and Public Policy – is an institutionally independent entity within Technische Universität München, offering education in political science. It possesses public law legal personality and is financed by the Bayerischer Landtag. The academic degree Diplomaticus scientiae politicae Universitatis was awarded by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München for the Politische Wissenschaft diploma program, which concluded at the end of 2019. With the Politikwissenschaft Bachelor's program, newly launched in the 2016/17 winter semester, its new institutional home, Technische Universität München, awards the Bachelor of Science academic degree. Furthermore, with the Politics & Technology Master's program, which began in the 2017/18 winter semester, it awards the Master of Science academic degree. The HfP was founded in 1950, and its main office is located in the Brienner Forum at Königsplatz.
