Uni-Assist

Central platform processing international student applications for approximately 180 German universities.

Uni-Assist e.V. is a Berlin-based application processing service. Approximately 180 German universities receive international student applications through Uni-Assist.

Process:
1. Create online account (uni-assist.de)
2. Upload documents (high school/Bachelor diplomas, transcripts, language certificate, passport)
3. Pay fees: first application 75 EUR, each subsequent 30 EUR (same semester)
4. Mail original/certified documents
5. Uni-Assist prepares VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) — your grade converted to German system
6. Uni-Assist forwards your application to selected universities

Duration: 4-6 weeks (may extend at end of season). Apply 6-8 weeks before deadline.

Some universities (TUM, RWTH Aachen) do not use Uni-Assist; they accept direct applications. Always check each university's policy.
