About the Program

The programme objective is to acquire expertise in the field of water management and the capability to acquire further knowledge independently with the aid of scientific methods. A further objective is to master the varied demands of professional life in applied practice, research or teaching, and to apply the rules of engineering confidently to deal effectively with the frequently changing tasks in the working world. The program covers water bodies used for water supply, energy generation, irrigation, navigation, discharge systems for purified effluents, and leisure and recreation. It addresses global water scarcity management in terms of quantity and quality, with an integrated approach from ecological, technological, process engineering and structural aspects. The curriculum includes mathematics, computing/CAD, physics, hydrochemistry, hydrobiology, ecology, geology, constructional fundamentals, technical mechanics, hydrology, water supply, wastewater engineering, hydraulic engineering, and more. An internship of 12 weeks is a component of the course of studies.
