About the Program

The Master of Music elective in Chamber Music/Lied Interpretation is a 4-semester program designed for piano or vocal students. Upon completion, students achieve high competence in chamber music ensemble playing or singing with a chamber music ensemble and/or in Lied interpretation. They can master more difficult or extensive works in public performance and apply their skills in professional situations. Students develop the ability to work independently regarding work selection, musical design, and constructive collaboration. The program includes modules in either Chamber Music or Lied Interpretation, with the possibility to switch between them after the second semester. The final examination consists of a practical test of approximately 20 minutes.
