About the Program

Transportation Interior Design is a 7-semester design program that focuses on developing aesthetic design, innovation, and methodological competencies in the field of visionary mobility concepts, vehicles and their interiors. Students acquire core competencies in style, color and trim, and 3-dimensional-visualization. The program is truly interdisciplinary, generating both innovative design approaches and recognition of current trends. It comprises analyzing market demands, customers' requirements, learning to account for technical and ergonomic constraints, the analysis of shapes and materials, comprehensive training in craftsmanship, and the use of digital tools and design methods. The program is based on analyzing future societal challenges and scenarios, with application and project-oriented teaching that follows the working methods and structures of industrial practice. Basic textile technology knowledge is taught as foundational knowledge to be used in design. The program includes a mobility window in semesters 4 and 5 with mandatory internship and a project semester in Germany and/or abroad.
