Transformation Design

Master of Arts (M.A.)

About the Program

Design is more than simply designing items – from brochures and websites to chairs and sneakers. Design entails the shaping of social change processes, new life models and cultural practices. This is the focus of the Transformation Design Master program. This study program enables students to independently identify, reflect on and articulate socially relevant topics as designers. It will motivate you to come up with innovative solutions for social transformation, to implement them in design and to communicate them. The study program consists of three sets of modules: 'Methods & Tools', 'Design & Transformation', and 'Research & Supervision'. The program qualifies graduates for classic design fields and opens up new career fields such as instructive communication design, process and innovation management, design of transformation processes in NGOs, public welfare-oriented companies, corporate social responsibility and sustainability departments.
