The textile and clothing industry is one that is constantly reinventing itself, with textile technologies enabling innovative solutions everywhere, including in other industries. Textiles are used in many areas around the world – sometimes hidden but enabling a wide range of applications. There are many job opportunities now and in the future, and you can work in your preferred field with a good salary once you become an engineer. The Bachelor of Engineering in Textile and Clothing Technology programme prepares you as a future engineer for challenges in industry and research. Over the course of seven semesters, TEX shapes creative engineers who can take textile products from the idea to the development stage and finally to the market, with special emphasis on making the course relevant to industry. This is reflected in the teaching, the integrated work placement and the industrial projects. Students can choose to focus on areas such as fashion, smart textiles, sports & outdoor, technical textiles or knitting technology. What defines our teachings?
