The focus of the master's program is on the acquisition of advanced systems engineering and systems theory knowledge in the form of methods for the description, analysis, control and optimization of nonlinear, discrete-event and hybrid system models of dynamic processes. A course programme jointly offered by engineers and mathematicians promotes an intensive research orientation and at the same time qualifies students for professional research practice. The program includes compulsory areas (11%), elective areas of specialization (22%), elective areas of extensions (17%), main seminar and general studies (6%), and master thesis (33%).
