About the Program

The course is dedicated to the exploration, development and technical implementation of processes in which materials are modified according to characteristics and composition. To this end, the students acquire basic knowledge of the natural sciences, engineering and process technology. They familiarise themselves and learn how to apply a variety of techniques for the mechanical, thermal, chemical and biological transformation of materials. Career Perspectives include direct entry to careers in, among other areas, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the animal feed, food, beverage and tobacco industries, materials science, building services engineering, heat and refrigeration engineering, medical technology and the construction of apparatus, machines and plant. In addition, graduates of this course are qualified to continue their academic training in the context of a Master's degree course.
