About the Program

The Strategic Information Management program prepares students to plan, implement, manage, and control complex IT projects to achieve strategic business goals. Students learn to assess the impact of IT strategy on business success and its contribution to strategic business development. The program emphasizes a holistic and integrative approach to information management, focusing on data collection and analysis, efficient business processes, and innovative methods and IT tools. The curriculum covers Business Analytics, Data Management, Digitalization, Strategy and Risk Management, as well as Organization and Leadership. Students work with software and applications including Python, SQL, Power BI, SPSS, Oracle, and R. Graduates are qualified to work at the intersection of specialist fields and IT departments, such as data analysts, in consulting or auditing, or to pursue doctoral studies. They develop in-depth technical, methodological, and social skills in business administration and information technology, with special focus on understanding information technology and process-oriented thinking.
