Sports Science is involved in questions of sport and movement in the broadest sense. In the foreground, this involves the contemplation of sports in theory and practice. At Göttingen, this takes place from various perspectives: educational, didactic, sociological, medical, training and movement-based perspectives. In addition, students can improve their sporting ability in practical sports courses. The polyvalent Bachelor of Arts aims to give students the skills they need in order to conduct independent scientific work. They will acquire extensive knowledge, skills and abilities as learn the historical correlations, as well as examine and practically apply methods and theories of Sports Science. The subject foci in Göttingen include, among others, Child, Youth, and School Sports, Sports in Prevention and Rehabilitation, Contemporary History of Sports in its Economic Correlations.
